Waiting for Christmas.

Do you find it hard to wait?

Sometimes there are presents under the Christmas Tree days or weeks before we get to unwrap them on Christmas morning. We can’t wait until the wait is finally over and Christmas has come!

The Old Testament is full of hundreds of years of people waiting for the first Christmas, waiting for the promised King to arrive. But God kept his promise!

Read Matthew 1:1-17

  1. As you read through the list of many names were any familiar to you?
  2. Did they remind you of times where God had already saved His people?
  3. What promises were people like Abraham and David given that were fulfilled in Jesus?

Pray - Thank God now for his faithfulness and being a God who keeps his promises. Jesus is the Messiah, the promised one.
